All About ER6 is a website dedicated to news and information about
devices (phones and PDA's) using the Symbian ER6 operating system. ER6 is
Symbian Epoc Release 6 Operating System for the next generation of mobile
phones and PDA. The Nokia 9210 is an example of this.
The site is split into four major content sections:
Communicator - for information about Symbian's Communicator Reference
Design. These are keyboard based PDA / Phone combos. An example of this is
the Nokia 9210 and this is the first Symbian device available.
Consequently the Communicator section is the largst with a software and
download directory, support, links and features section and lot more too!
Mediaphone - for information relating to Symbian's Mediaphone Reference
Design. These are pen based PDA / phone combos similar to the current Palm
and PPC devices. This section features new about devices and software in
development as well as introducing and explaining Mediaphones.
Smartphone - for information relating to Symbian's Smartphone Reference
Design. This is the OS to power the next generaton of mobile phones and
you can find out all about it in this section.
General Section - for information and articles relating to all the
above categories. Contains the most comprehensive ER6 relating Links
Directory on the internet.
The site also contains 2 other sections:
Forums - the only site with forums for all Symbian devices, here you
can chat with fellow users and like minded people who are interested in
Symbian related products.
Site - contains the adminstration pages of the site (including this
one) as well as information for advertisers, the privacy and copyright
policies and more.
The site uses a combination of HTML, PHP & Perl Scripting and MYSQL.
