Übersicht

Bo Leuf (mailto:bo@leuf.com) most often wears the hat of technical facilitator, and does general consultancy work related to documentation, translation and training issues. For some years this was mainly for Telia Prosoft (the Swedish telecom group's research and development company).

Currently living in GothenburgSweden (again, after an 8 year sojurn in Malmö), he is involved in a number of teaching/training issues for professionals and companies in the CS and IT field.

There's been some significant book-writing going on lately. For a comprehensive look at WikiWiki, see Bo's book TheWikiWay written with WardCunningham, AddisonWesley, March 2001 (ISBN 0-201-71499-X ). Bo's first computer book was the co- authored Outlook 2000 in a Nutshell for O'Reilly, May 2000, (ISBN 1-56592-704-4 ).

See LeufNetWiki for a link into various WikiWikiClone projects. You might care to browse the journaling sites listed at http://www.leuf.net/wikidn?DaynoteGang, or start with Bo's own daynote journal at http://www.leuf.net/wikidn?CurrentUpdate -- The DaynoteGang comprises linked website journals that include a number of well-known SF and computer authors, such as JerryPournelle and BobThompson.

One of many interests is a long-time appreciation of ScienceFiction. There is an open ScienceFictionWikiForum at http:// leuf.net/cgi/wikisf, loosely linked to a author and title database (comment-only) wiki.

has extensive experience in technical communication and teaching, coupled with a deep understanding of cross-platform software product design, user interfaces, and usability analysis. He maintains several professional and recreational Internet Web sites, including one that provides commercial Web hosting services for others. Several years of interest in collaboration and discussion tool solutions resulted in the creation of a “cluster” of customized WikiWiki servers for experimental, collaborative, and informative purposes.

An independent consultant in the computing sector in Sweden for some 25 years, Bo has been responsible for software development and localization projects. Training issues came to the foreground during a number of years as head of a language school specializing in an immersive teaching methodology. He is currently a freelance consultant and author, specializing in software documentation, translation, and design-team training.
