Projektgeschichte
Bitflux started in November 2001 with a MSIE-project. But we quickly
adjourned this project and opted for Mozilla – the truly Open Source
Browser – instead. Why? It's simple: Today Mozilla/Netscape is the only
solution if you want to have an editor that is useable on Mac, Windows,
Linux and other OS.
In March of this year [2001] we presented our Bitflux CMS and an
early version of our Mozilla-based Editor at the First Open Source CMS
Conference in Zurich. [...]
Since then a lot has happened and due to advancements in Mozilla, we
rewrote our code several times. So far we used the Bitflux Editor for
the annual report (CD-ROM) of the University Hospital of Zurich as well
as for our own Website.
We made demo's for University of Zurich, ETH Zurich and Wyona. We
also showed the Editor at the Linuxtag and at the European Python and
Zope Conference. [...]
