Leistungsmerkmale:
- Fast rendering of pages:
Opera is the fastest full-featured browser on the market today.
- Small size:
Opera is much smaller than other major browsers (2.5 MB download
with Qt dynamically linked, and 3.9 MB with Qt statically linked) in
its standard configuration (without Java).
- Accessability:
Making the web accessible to all user groups is an important
motivation for Opera Software.
- Standards compliance:
Opera supports all common Web standards needed to surf the web,
including markup languages (HTML and XML), network and security
protocols (HTTP, SSL and TLS), style sheets (CSS1 & CSS2) and
programming languages (ECMAScript, Javascript and DOM).
- Integrated Search:
Opera has a powerful search capability with the added possibility of
searching the user's own Hotlist and saving search results as
bookmarks. In the search feature, users can easily migrate between
the most popular search engines, and search for terms, domain names,
audio/Mp3s, images, video, stock quotes, books or company
information.

- Drag'n'drop:
Extensive drag'n'drop features familiar to Linux users.
- High quality zooming:
Opera can zoom in on a page up to 1000%.

Opera features instant toggling of image and documents settings. For
even faster browsing, images can be turned on/off with just the
press of a key.
- Downloads:
Opera can resume interrupted download sessions.
- Cookies Management:
A cookie editor enables cookie management.
- Gestures:
Support for most of the mouse gestures found with the Windows
version, as well as some Linux-spesific gestures (such as
middle-click on the window bar to open the clipboard URL in new
window).

pop-up menu full of powerful features such as search, encyclopedia
look-up, and translation.

Organize and personalize your favorite bookmarks and searches in one

- Bookmarks:
Search bookmarks or sort them by title, date created, when visited
or customize your own ordering.
- Panels:
Favorite Web pages can be organized in panels that are displayed in
the hotlist during a browsing session; additional panels are
available at my.opera.com.
- Unicode:
Opera supports the Unicode Worldwide Character Set, making Opera
available in local languages for the Asian/ Pacific and Eastern
European regions.
- Improved window handling:
Switch easily between document windows with the new keyboard
shortcut Ctrl+Tab.
- Keyboard shortcuts:
New shortcuts to speed up your surfing.
- Help window:
Help documentation can be browsed in its own window, supplemented
with useful buttons.
- Help files:
New help files, completely rewritten and improved and easily
accessible with the F1 key.
