• mergeant: Front-end for database administrators and database application developers.
• libgnomedb: Database Widget Library. These widgets are integrated with the latest versions of glade.
• libgda: data abstraction layer. It can manage data stored in databases or XML files and it can be used by non-GNOME applications.

• gctb is a basic accounting system using LIBGDA and GNOME-DB libraries. The code has a GPL Licence;

• gASQL is a PostgreSQL administration tool, made by Vivien Malerba, who is one of the GNOME-DB developers;

• GNOME Office, a collection of GNOME productivity applications
  Glade, the well-known GTK/GNOME interface builder now supports the GNOME-DB widgets;

• Gnumeric, the GNOME Spreadsheet, lets you insert data coming from a database into your sheets, by making use of the working-again GDA plugin;

• Mono is using libgda for its System.Data.OleDb ADO.NET implementation;

Versionen und Meilensteine

GNOME DB 1.0 erlaubt den Zugriff auf verschiedene Datenbanken über eine einheitliche Architektur. Mit seinem einheitlichen API zum Datenmanagement bietet GNOME DB Zugriff auf Datenbank- Management- Systeme wie PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server, Sybase, Oracle, Firebird, IBM DB2 und mSQL sowie auf ODBC-Datenquellen wie XBase, MS Access und SQLite. Dabei erlaubt GNOME-DB auch AbiWord und Gnumeric die Integration entsprechender Daten in ihre Dokumente.
