Übersicht
LRs-Linux basiert auf dem LFS- System mit dem Unterschied, dass kein
weiteres Linux zum Kompilieren vorhanden sein muss, denn LRs-Linux
kompiliert direkt von CD. Außerdem ist LRs-Linux weitgehend
selbst-installierend.
Aus der Selbstdarstellung:
»LRs-Linux is a Source-Distribution based on the LFS-
System. LRs-Linux is compiled completely from source code. We made
the installation of LRs-Linux largely automatic. LRs-Linux is not a
conventional LINUX - distribution: the majority of the Distributions
'pack' their compiled binaries with RPM; these binaries are often
compiled for a large variety of processors (i386, i586 and others).
LRs-Linux is compiled completely from the source code, so that the
installed Linux system suites perfectly your computer; Your
processor is automatically recognised and the system is optimised
for this processor. This normally results in a performance
