LPT-Desktop 1.0.x ist kompatibel mit Red Hat Linux 8.0,
es ersetzt jedoch das BlueCurve-Interface unter GNOME 2.

- Nautilus 2.0
- Metacity window manager.
- Xscreensaver-4.06
- Optimization for architectures i686
- Some themes for GTK2 and Metacity collected from art.gnome.org
Development platform for GNOME 2.0.3.
Explizit nicht enthalten sind Komponenten wie
- Gnumeric,
- Abiword,
- Galeon.
Diese Anwendungen werden als in einer produktiven Umgebung als noch
nicht verwendbar eingestuft (»[...] are not yet ready for routine
use for different reasons [...] having incomplete functionality or are
not the sufficiently stable for daily use or production envoirment or
just they are in a very immature development phase«).
